Is the food you eating contributing to a healthy you or a diseased you?
Have you ever thought that maybe some calories from the food you eat are not equal to the calories of a different food? What type of food are you mainly eating? The key is to think of food like your view of medication. Each time you eat or drink something, you are adding something to your body that can cause specific interactions and side effects.
Eat and drink crummy food=crummy cells. What you eat and drink directly influences what your cells have to work with during their develpment and their work inside your body. It is very important to give your cells the nutrients they need to function at a healthy level. By giving your cells the best nutrients you can, you set your body to function at a very healthy level and can prevent your body from becoming diseased! When you eat food such as processed foods, candy, cookies, processed meats, etc. you are setting your body up to be prone to obesity, diabetes, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure, heart disease, and even cancer.
So, take a look at what your diet consists of. Do you find yourself eating more boxed or packaged food (dinner mixes fall under this as well!) or do you find yourself focusing more on food in its natural form such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, and whole wheat food?
Based on what you find yourself gravitating towards, what type of cells do you think you have working inside your body right now?
The good news is there is a way to fix the damage that has already been caused! You can start today making small changes to your diet. The next time you want to fix a packaged dinner, opt for buying the ingredients separately and adding in fresh food! There are so many fresh food options it is very difficult to ever get bored! This is your call to get creative!
Now, remember its not easy to change your health behaviors. It takes time and small goal setting such as one meal a week make it completely fresh! Start small and over time you will make remarkable changes to your overall health and well-being. Imagine how you will feel when your cells are getting the best nutrients you can offer them!
Your turn! I want you to leave a comment offering your tips on the small changes you are currently making in your life to be healthier!
